A Woman’s Way Through the Twelve Steps

A Woman’s Way Through the Twelve Steps brings a feminine perspective to the Twelve Step recovery model. While each person’s recovery is individual there are a number of issues unique to women that are overlooked in most Twelve Step programs. Some of these issues include the effects on women of the language of the Twelve Steps, the psychological development of women as it relates to addiction and recovery and the social and cultural factors that affect us as women – both in general as females in a male-dominated society and specifically as women living through addiction and recovery.

– Based on the work by Stephanie S. Covington
